Dr Amissah-Arthur is a Consultant Physician, Rheumatologist and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School. She received her medical school education and postgraduate speciality training in general internal medicine and rheumatology in Birmingham, UK. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London) and of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr Amissah-Arthur is passionate about clinical training and delivering quality care to all patients. She participates actively in research to improve clinical care and inform patient advocacy programmes, in particular, to increase awareness and knowledge about rheumatic and autoimmune disorders. She is a member of several professional organisations and patient support groups.
